Episode 23: For The Love of Luther

He was one of the great kings of R&B.  His smooth and soulful voice was unmistakable and unmatched.  Nobody could sing a love song the way Luther could; no slow jam selection is complete without at least one of his ballads.  Luther suffered a stroke on April 16, 2003 and never fully recovered, eventually passing away July 1, 2005.  Today is Luther's birthday, he would have turned 59 years old. 

Although we lost him way too soon, Luther left us with such a large legacy of music that he will forever live on.  In honour of the man and his music, I've put together two tribute mixes, the first showcases his more upbeat material, and the second features the sweet slow jams he's most recognized for.  We miss you Luther...
