Episode 6: Reggae Romance

Growing up on the island of Jamaica, reggae music was something I heard everyday. From radios blasting in taxis and shops, to the reverberations of the neighbourhood dancehall thumping bass so hard you could feel it in your chest...reggae was everywhere. Most of my favourite reggae songs are love ballads. I don't know of any other genre where there are so many covers of popular songs. In Jamaica I usually heard the reggae version of a ballad before hearing the original, and to be honest, there were many times when I liked the reggae renditions better! With all my reggae reminiscing I got inspired to do this episode, Reggae Romance, where you'll hear love songs of a different spice, and I think you'll find it quite nice...
